00:30:06
In this episode of the Amata World podcast for the XR week, we speak with Dr Maruša Levstek, a social scientist working at the intersection of the creative industries, technologies, and impact. She was an audience researcher at StoryFutures, where she focused on researching XR. She is currently a UX researcher at CoSTAR Network National Lab / StoryFutures, a Story Associate at AKO Storytelling Institute at UAL, and also a member of the Environmental Sustainability Working Group, part of Innovate UK Immersive Tech Network. Her research primarily focuses on storytelling and XR, and how the two intersect and lead to social impact. Here she shares her experience of working with prominent XR projects, such as the BBC/Factory42 Green Planet AR Experience and the Keeper of Paintings with the National Gallery and Arcade, and the key lessons she’s learned to create meaningful XR experiences. We also hear what her outlook is for the XR industry, as well as advice for people getting into the field.
Each week we are releasing an episode in the field of either Metaverse/Gaming, Web3/Crypto/Blockchain, AI or XR. In case we have an extra Tuesday in a month, we have a guest from the Creative industries. Tune in, there are more amazing guests and stories to come up in the future.
