The next guests on our podcast for the XR week are Riya Mahajan, Armelle Mihailescu, Janmejay Singh and Selin Öztürk, creators of the ‘Whale Fall’ project, an immersive project in Virtual Reality that addresses and informs on the issue of marine plastic pollution and its effects on whales. Riya is a Graphic designer and 3D visual artist from India. Armelle is a MultiMedia Artist, who’s using video games and interactive/immersive experiences to explore deep themes. Janmejay Singh is a Digital Storyteller, Filmmaker and Social Activist. Selin Öztürk is a multidisciplinary designer who is passionate about social and climate challenges. In this episode, we discuss their background, their story around the ‘Whale Fall’ Project, their views how XR could help raise awareness around the most urgent issues around the world, as well as we cover their hopes and predictions for the future of XR and their own project.
